Fred & Anne Stonehouse Biblical Ministries Worldwide Website
Fred and Anne Stonehouse came to Scotland in November 1996 after completing 30 years of church planting in Bavaria southern Germany. They are located in Tranent, also in East Lothian, which is 10 miles east of the capital city of Edinburgh. Fred and Anne have contact with local people through community volunteer work. Fred is co-pastor of the Haddington Community Church while Anne helps with the music. Anne also helps in the Carrubbers Christian Centre café located on the Royal Mile in Edinburgh Perhaps Scotland’s Christian heritage has worked against her. Perhaps, when people think of Scotland and recall names such as John Knox, David Livingstone and Eric Liddell, they have believed that a country with that heritage could not possibly be in need of missionaries. The American coming to Scotland will find a complete contrast between the Christian culture he or she is familiar with – and believes is so important – and what he or she will find in Scotland.
